China bans director from making films for 5 years

Highly-acclaimed Chinese director Lou Ye and the producer Nai An have been banned from making films for the next five years after submitting a film related to the 1989 Tiananmen Square bloodbath to the prestigious Cannes Film Festival without government approval.
